Lunch with the missionaries

Elder Davis is going to be going home from his mission on Wednesday and has been in our area for 6 months which is a long time in the life of a missionary! We get close to some of the missionaries and they kind of become part of the family and it will be hard to see him go. But he will be going to school in Salt Lake so we will actually get to see him once in a while. We took them out to dinner on Friday and had a good time. It was his 2 year 'birthday' of being a missionary that day so they sang happy birthday to him. Jace and Caitlyn went with us and Kassi had come over to the video store to help us rearrange movies so she went with us also, instead of going back for the homecoming parade.

Good luck Elder Davis... you have been an awesome missionary and we know you will do great things in your life!!!

Things you never thought you would say to your grandson..

We have had a fun time having Gabe with us... he finally figured out how to fit right in and make messes! But I had to laugh at myself after following him around cleaning up messes. These are things you thought you would never say to your grandson ~

"Baby doll, please don't eat the tampons!" (after he found the basket with tampons in) or...

"Sweetie, give grandma back her bra!" (after he pulled it off the door handle while I was in the closet trying to find clothes!)

Yep, there are some things you just never think you are going to have to say!
