Sunday was another snow day!

Saturday we got some fun snow... but it started dumping down Sunday morning and they finally called and told everyone that church was cancelled. Too many of the side roads were not even beginning to be dug out that early and they couldn't keep the church parking lots cleaned up enough to be able to safely get the cars in. And while we missed church, the kids thought heaven had come to our house. They LOVE snow. They can play in the snow for hours on end... and that is what they did! After we got the call, I told everyone there was no church and everyone chnaged out of their church clothes and most changed back into pajamas. And then we turned up the Christmas music and the little kids and I danced and danced and danced. And Nate kept making us take him to the stereo and turn the music up louder so he could dance better. They then became silly and started dancing with the snowmen but it was oh so fun.... we laughed and laughed and danced and danced! The kids somehow made this huge snowman...the mother of all snowmen (so to speak!). It took some work but they finally got the thing put together. They actually rolled bigger 'snow pieces' than the one they made but they realized that there was no way they could put together a bigger one than they had already made! It was an all around great day.... and then I made beef fajitas and though it took me over an hour to dice, slice and prepare.... it took maybe 10 minutes to eat it all up! Seems wrong somehow!!! But they claim they were the greatest fajitas they have had... so I guess it was worth it!

Meet the snowman....

While I was taking the picture of the huge snowman, Willie and Wyatt thought wrestling in the snow was a good idea... Willie must have forgot that he was wearing shorts!!!

Kailee and her snowman... now Kailee is no a short girl, but the snowman still towers over her and makes her look like a tiny girl!

Thayne's work truck didn't want to be out in the snow either... we were laughing and joking that MOM needed to get the truck up but Thayne decided he would keep his honor and not let mom try... he was going to make the kids shovel, but the nice neighor plowed and saved everyone!

Shhhh... don't tell but there's no doubt in anyone's mind that mom could have got it up the hill... she is the one that ALWAYS has to get the vehicles up the driveway! :)

Kalli is worried that the snowmen are being snowed on!!! hahaha... We assured her they would be just fine, but she was not happy that the snow made the 'Tiffany' snowman who had a 'baby' attached fall over a bit and the 'baby bump' had slid off... I told her she should just make a tiny snowman and pretend that the snowbaby had been born!
