Beautiful day for a game...

Willie loves soccer. He loves to watch soccer, and he loves to play soccer. They didn't win, but they played their hearts out in this game and I am so glad we got to see it. We had so many fun times watching Jace all through high school on the soccer team and look forward to Willie doing the same thing... and with any luck he and Wyatt will be able to play together in high school. They got to go to a Salt Lake REAL soccer game on Saturday night and Willie LOVED it! To make it all even better was that it was finally a nice day.... after constant rain, cold and even snow, this day was perfect!

Nate insisted on buying this hat while we were wedding shopping and loved wearing it around. Jace tried to say that it was embarrassing for him but as you can see he had absolutely no problem showing it off!

We decided to take the 4 youngest boys and go over to Salt Lake to see Willie's last soccer game. We didn't want him to miss the tournament but as usual Tracy and Buffy came through for us and took him over with their family (thankfully our kids are kind of interchangeable.... we love theirs as if they are our own and they take care of ours like they are part of their family too! What a blessing that is!). After we got Kimi's bridal shower over with we decided to pack up and run over so we could see him play his last game. The little boys were so excited to get out of town and we decided to go to the Living Planet Aquarium. They loved it. It is so fun to hang out with these boys. To watch their excitement over what they are seeing. Nate was so funny. He wasn't sure the glass was enough to keep the creatures away from him... and his OCD makes us laugh... they were so good too. We went knowing we would do a whole lot of shopping for Kimi's wedding and they were troopers in the stores, going from store to store and not even fun stores that little boys would like! The hotel was a blast though and they were up first thing Monday morning going for a swim before breakfast! I feel so blessed to be their mom and to watch them explore and enjoy the simple things in life! It turned out to be the most wonderful little get away and I am so lucky to be loved by such amazing men!

Shirts....

We went to Utah Sunday so that we could watch Willie's soccer game Monday and then we went shopping....for shirts! I needed brown shirts to go under dresses, blue shirts and brown shirt and ties to match the shirts. I cannot tell you how many hours were spent yesterday looking at shirts. I even had Thayne guarding shirts in Kohls because heaven forbid somebody come and take one of the desperately needed sizes we needed while I was checking out shirts on another rack. 4 stores later I finally found all of the shirts I needed.... I think! In mostly the sizes I needed... I think! Gabe's will have to be too big, but he will look cute anyway so I am not worried. And then the ties. Oh my! The poor boy in the tie store likely thought we were crazy. Boys were walking around with ties, I had ties, Thayne had ties. We measured, we mixed, we matched and finally we came up with the perfect combination of ties for all of those shirts! Did I mention we bought shirts??? That will teach me for having these 9 boys, and a husband, and a grandson who all need shirts... and then the other side that needed shirts. If I never buy another shirt in the men's section again it will be too soon.... oh, but soon we will be, because Tallin will surely need shirts... white shirts... lots of white shirts... for a mission!
