Independence Day

We celebrated Independence Day on Saturday... because the 4th fell on Sunday and for as long as I can remember they have the big celebration the day before on those years! Love that about Utah!!! We had a great, relaxing time. The last few weeks have been so crazy that it was nice to have nothing to do and to just be able to relax in the park. The past several weeks have been so crazy that it was so nice to do nothing! Everyone got to be there except Kimi because Matt had to work. It is mandatory on the 4th of July...we told him that he must find a new job then because this is our holiday! :) If only we had that kind of control, right?! We missed them but plan on going to see them sometime soon and go to Lake Tahoe with them! My brother and his wife and 3 kids were able to come for the first time in 4 years so it was nice to see their kids and how much they have grown up, and to meet their youngest son Daniel who is already 3 years old! My sister and her 4 boys also came from Montana. It has been a year since we have seen her and she got to meet sweet Gabe finally. It was a fun day.... but everyone is so tired. I know the past month has just wiped us all out but we have made some wonderful memories and I am so glad that we got to spend the 4th this way! I have to say I have the most incredible family!

Hanging out with my girls in the grocery store is just as fun as anything else we do... they are so awesome...so happy and fun loving and so willing to share their joy everywhere they go! She missed her true call in life...she should have been a tutu model!

Headed to Delta...

We were looking forward to going to Delta for the 4th of July weekend. My brother and his family were coming from Illinois to visit and we couldn't wait to see them. It has been 4 years since we have seen them and we didn't want to waste the chance! The kids love the 4th there, even though they were technically celebrating on the 3rd. We finally got everything packed and headed out... happy and ready to celebrate Independence Day!!! The kids couldn't wait to get over there early enough to hang out in the park and go swimming. They LOVE the pool there. We met up with Shiloh and Joy so the kids could play in the park and then went to the pool and had a great time. They played football and played in the water at the park and even Nate enjoyed the pool with his brothers and sisters. Tallin, Kailee, Kassi, Kinzee, Willie and Wyatt took the van and we had the little kids with us in the Excursion. They LOVE to sing and dance to good music so despite dad's silly looks at us we turned up the music and sang along!! It was a good day....

It was that time again... tickets were bought far in advance and we had a big red star on the calendar marking the date... that exciting night when we would be out all night long laughing, hanging out and eating popcorn and hot tamalies! The night of the cheesy vampire movie!!! Eclipse! Buffy and I enjoy going mostly to hang out with our girls and to laugh at the acting taking place! :) Well... we always love an excuse to eat movie theater popcorn too! I love hanging out with my girls! And thankfully they still haven't figured out that it isn't cool to hang out with your mom! The trip home is just as fun... with the windows down, the music up loud and the singing at the top of our lungs! The girls' friend Marisha came with us. On the ride home she said that this was the best car trip she had ever had. Kailee and I looked at each other and laughed... and then Kailee told her she needed to get out with us more because that is how EVERY car trip is with us!!! I love having daughters... there is nothing like it! And the movie wasn't half bad, for a cheesy vampire movie!
