25 years going on forever...

Happy Anniversary to the man of my dreams!

I can't believe it has been 25 years already.

Time flies when you are having fun I guess!

I am so grateful to be married to my best friend,

to a man who gives his all for our family

and who always puts his family first.

The moment I saw him I knew that he was going to be my life.

I saw the future standing in front of me...

And the future has been even better than I dreamed it would be.

Thank you for 25 years of wonderful.

My heart still skips a beat when he comes into the room and

I look forward to forever with him!

Stupid Is As Stupid Does....

Forrest Gump said it best, "Mama says stupid is as stupid does."

And my girls found out first hand last night that this is one of the truest statements,

EVER!

A while ago, when the video store was open the kids had an opportunity to meet lots of people.

Funny that one lady told Kinzee that she doesn't ever go out because she doesn't

have a babysitter for her little boy.

The little boy really liked Kinzee and the mom asked if Kinz would be willing

to babysit for her sometime.

Of course we never heard anything...

until last night when she asked Kinzee to watch her son.

Thankfully Kinz did not feel good about watching him at their house since she didn't know them.

The lady asked if she could babysit at our house and she brought him over.

He got along well... but the mom didn't show up when she said she would.

When Kinzee finally got the text that the parents were on their way the little boy

was sound asleep and perfectly content.

Much later than expected the parents finally showed up.

Well... the mom came in.

The girls had been out with their friend Beth and and they were all waiting

in the car for Kinzee to come back...

Kinzee handed the mom her little man and as she was close enough she thought that she

smelled really bad.

As the mom turned around she actually hit the little boys hit on the door.

Kinzee was carrying the little boy's stuff to their truck and the dad was passed out.

The other girls were at the top of our driveway and thought that the mom looked drunk

but weren't sure what to do.

They told Kinzee to hurry so they could get back to the friends house while

Kailee called the police.

Dispatch told them that once they left our driveway they needed to stay with them

until the police were able to get to them.

That is where it got exciting...

The mom was driving 80 miles an hour on the parkway...

which has a speed limit of 35. She was swerving and in the other lane all while

Kailee was telling them to HURRY... it was scary and it didn't look like the mom

had even buckled the little boy up.

3 or 4 miles later the mom was going so fast that they didn't dare keep up.

Except dispatch told them that they are in a camero so DRIVE and not lose her.

She was almost to the round about and Kailee was screaming at dispatch to HURRY

because the mom was not in her lane and headed for the divider and there is a baby

in that truck!

Thankfully the highway patrol was right there.

Dispatch told them to find a place to park and wait for the officer to talk to them.

So they found a place off the road and then got to watch the DUI in process.

The mom was trying to wake the dad up and then they went through the entire

'walk the line' and 2 hours later they watched as the parents were arrested.

Still they were waiting...

Finally Kailee called back and said they were waiting for the officer to call and he hadn't.

It seems that there was a mix up and they didn't need to really have to wait because

the case against the parents was strong enough that they didn't need them.

Kailee told the officer that after all that, they had at least wanted to get a picture of them

hand cuffed and in the patrol car or something!!!

Yes, they are still teenagers!!!

The weird thing is the lady was texting Kinz today asking if she had paid her enough...

Said she was trying to figure out their bills and if they paid her enough last night...

I'll bet they are figuring out bills now...

With 2 DUI arrests and probably child endangerment!

Weird!

The scary thing is that she could have truly caused a serious accident, or worse...

and that poor little boy had no clue the danger he was in.

It makes me sad, but it also makes me angry.

WHY didn't she just ask to let him stay all night?

Not that it wasn't weird enough, but I guess she thought we were trust worthy,

but get a designated driver... pay a taxi... but do NOT get behind the wheel of a truck

and risk killing someone else!

Yep, as Forrest said,

"Stupid is as stupid does."

And that was very, very, very stupid!

School's out for the summer!!!!

Yay!

It's that time of year again...

School is out for the summer!

And we are SO ready.

The little kids were taking their orchids to their teachers today.

It was so cold out this morning that the cars were covered in frost

and their dad had to drive them so they didn't freeze the flowers!

Kalli's teacher is retiring this year.

So sad.

She has had several of our kids and

it's sad to see the really awesome teachers retire.

But I am so ready for no more school.

The month is going to be crazy.

The summer may be crazy, no... it WILL be crazy,

but it will be SUMMER and I am so ready.

I hope the kids are nice to me!!!

That program...

Well... that program went off without a hitch and it was cute as could be! That one that I have seen several times before, but never with my sweet Kami! She did a great job as a flower and as a horse in their little program. The first was about the Little Red Hen making the bread all by herself because nobody wanted to help. The second was Frog and Toad and planting a garden... Kami was a little seed that turned into a beautiful flower. She is my beautiful flower... and now she is going into second grade. I am still trying to figure out how she got old enough to even be IN school, let alone going into second grade! Love this baby girl!!!!

Put my feet up? That's funny!

My husband said the funniest thing to me the other day. He said that he thought I would be able to put my feet up and let this be a relaxing month. I tried not to laugh out loud, I really did try. I didn't know he was going to be taking the month off to take care of me!!! Oh, never mind, he didn't think that was funny either! I am not exactly sure how he decided June would be a month I could just put my feet up and relax before the baby comes... has he forgotten all of the June's in the past? June is likely the busiest month of all. This is the last week of school, which includes, but is not limited to several end of the year activities... today for instance I was informed that one child needed plain potato chips. Yes, he explained they must be plain several times... and he needed them TODAY for school. Another child informed me that he must have a lunch for today. Silly boy thought I would just go buy him a lunch, but instead made him make his own. But alas, I am a sucker and bought him a Sprite and a treat to go with it. Then my husband called to inform me that he left his wallet in the car from last night, and he would need it when he went out to work after interviews. Silly me planned a lunch date with my friend, only to get to town and find out that he wasn't going to the mine because he had more interviews and wouldn't have time to go... so HE was going to lunch with me. Well, there went my plans! But we did have to go to the bank and sign an affidavit of forgery because somebody somehow got our account number WITH our mortgage account number and wrote themselves a thousand dollar check... argh! I won't even start on the insane world we live in when people think they can write a thousand dollar check to 'Unknown Entity' AND that the bank would just give them the money... that's for a whole other vent! And then to the post office, and to pick up my laptop in hopes that this time they actually fixed it, and then grabbed lunch, dropped husband off and headed back out to the first grade program, which was adorable with my 6 year old in it, even if we have seen it a dozen other times.... and to her classroom for their awards ceremony and now home to figure out dinner. Thankfully Kailee was able to run Willie and Wyatt to a hike that they ABSOLUTELY had to be at, only I just heard about it! After dinner I will make 40 or so cupcakes for that cute 6 year old's summer birthday celebration in her class tomorrow. And make some goodies for the teachers to tell them that we love them and thanks for putting up with our kids this year!! Saturday is the Cub Scout Day Camp, and if it is still on, a surprise party for a friends birthday... though I guess I better call and see if we are still doing it! Tuesday I will be taking Kailee, Kassi and a friend to Utah for the Laurel Temple Trip, and we are going to hit the orthodontist and my OB, which thankfully we were able to schedule for the same day. Can't forget my 25th anniversary. How in the world we are going to manage slipping THAT big celebration in??? And then the 11 year old camp out that Thayne and Hayden are supposed to go to. Then it will be all about getting the girls ready for girls camp, they will be gone the following Tuesday through Saturday! BUT the good news is that I will be running away with some friends on the 17th to the Rick Springfield concert... if that doesn't give me some energy and enthusiasm I don't know what will!!! I have to plan my appointment where I will get the steroid shots 24 hours apart... Then the boys have scout camp to get ready for. In between all of this, I need to organize, clean, plan for the 4th of July... I found out my class reunion is the 1st which may be fun to go to... or maybe not, depending on how swollen my feet happen to be at the time! I need to make sure we are organized and ready for the 4th celebration but also be packed and ready for Noah's birth! So between all of the running I need to clean, organize, pack and plan... but I am sure I will be able to put my feet up a lot during all of this! Right???????!!!!

Memorial Day?

Isn't Memorial Day supposed to be the unofficial opening of summer? I thought it was... or at least that is the rumor I have heard about that day. This year it was about as far away from 'summer' as it could be. With the rain, hail and snow that blew at any given time, and the cold air, and wind, and having to build a fire in the woodstove to warm up the house. There was really no desire to have a big picnic and bbque! Besides, we have ran so much that a lazy day with nothing to do sounded a bit like heaven!

So... lazy is what we did. We got naps, and did some errands we needed to do, and mostly just sat around doing nothing. The other kids were off with friends, or running around and Thayne, Kailee, Nate and I were at home and decided that we would go check out the snow that was still left in the canyon. We had heard that there was so much snow it had pushed a bathroom out into the middle of the road even! I love riding up in the canyon, it is so peaceful and beautiful. But it was cold! The higher we went, the colder it got.

It sure didn't feel like the unofficial beginnig of summer, but it was a nice relaxing ride and the view is beautiful....

Noah's growing....

I can't believe that in less than 6 weeks we will be holding Noah!

It is really going by too fast! I am not sure I am ready for the pregnancy to be over!

I had an appointment on Friday and we decided to bring the younger kids

and go for a 4D ultrasound after my appointment so they could see their brother.

I LOVE those things!

It is crazy to see how far ultrasounds have come since I first started having babies.

My doctor pretty much told me I am boring...

the pregnancy is going along so well and we will be scheduling his birth day

at my next appointment.

We will also schedule the steroid shots to make sure we give his lungs an extra boost!

It seems that when you are planning an 11th c-section

there should be more excitement involved,

but not here. Everything looks great!

The kids enjoyed seeing their brother...

although he was a stubborn little man with his hands and feet in front of his face.

It took some serious work to get pictures of his face!

I moved around, got up, bounced around and we shook him up a little

and he showed us his displeasure at being disturbed!

He has the cutest little face and definitely has Thayne's nose and lips that

I love so much on our kids!

He made the cutest faces, kept sucking his lips in.

The ultrasound tech said she couldn't believe the faces he made.

I told her he was just one of ours... those faces are normal!

I am so baby hungry now, I cannot wait to hold him and snuggle him

and kiss his cute little face!!!

The kids are very excited for him to come now too!!!

His big toe up on his forehead!

Look at those toes!!!! His big sister Kailee's feet are exactly like this! He wasn't happy with us trying to get pictures so he was trying to push us away with his feet! The kids just kept laughing at his monkey feet and later that day bought their Noah a big monkey!

He had plenty of room to stretch out but like some of his brothers, he is more comfortable way up high in my ribs... still a little contortionist!

He kept his hand in front of his face... we had to work hard to get him to move his hand and feet.
