Cell phone pictures...

Because you can never have enough pictures of babies, and I needed some place to put some of the many cell phone pictures that were taken of Gabriel, here are more! This little boy is already loved and adored and he has only met one aunt and one uncle so far! Kailee and Nate had appointments in Salt Lake Friday so they were able to meet Gabe.... well, Kailee got to hold him and squeeze him and Nate got to look through the window at him. It was such a wonderful day.... we got to spend a lot of time just holding him and admiring him. Kailee thinks he is just wonderful and Nate was so excited. Tiffany said she couldn't wait to see Nate with Gabe. When we took Gabe out so Nate could see him through the waiting room window Nate just kept smiling... huge smiles! He would look at Garrett, then Gabe, then Tiffany and then Gabe again and just smile and wave and blow kisses! Tiffany is feeling really good and Gabe is too though he went under the lights to help with jaundice. We can't wait for them to get home. I miss him already. I told Thayne that we are going to have to visit Gabe often and I laughed when Thayne just said, "I KNOW!" It's amazing to see Thayne with him... Thayne tried to act unaffected until he actually got the little man in his arms. Tiffany said she could see how much he wanted to hold him and I laughed when I watched Thayne unwrap him to check out his toes and hands and then wrapped him back up (he hates to see newborn babies that aren't wrapped up!) and was telling him the whole time how he would take care of him and watch over him. What a great sight to see the man I love holding his first grandson... and what a great sight to see my son holding his son! Can't wait to get this little man home so we can go love on him anytime we want!

I love this picture.... nothing better in life than knowing grandpa is there to protect you. Gabe had grandpa's finger and grandpa was telling him that he would always be there to watch over him!

This has been the most amazing day!!! It was a long day! But it was a wonderful, blessed day!!!I am not sure I can even put into words the feelings I have felt today. We have a beautiful, amazing and healthy grandson and we couldn't be happier! They called us at 3:30am and we got to the hospital shortly after. Tiffany stalled and was in pain but she is a trooper and worked through it all and before long we were ready to go. I had the privilege of being in with them while Gabe was born. That was one of the most sacred, special moments of my life and I can't thank them enough for allowing me the opportunity to be there. I am so impressed with Tiffany. She had him completely natural and it wasn't an easy labor/delivery, but she did it! This sweet boy is going to be sooooooooo loved, sooooooooooo spoiled in our family. His aunts and uncles were so excited they could barely stand it, and thanks to modern technology we are able to send them pictures seconds after little Gabe was born! He is perfect, he is absolutely beautiful and my heart is so full today with gratitude at the miracle of life. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father protected and watched over both Tiffany and Gabriel. I shouldn't be, but I am amazed at how love continues to grow and grow. As I watched Tiffany work so hard to bring this little person into the world I felt such an overwhelming love for her, and appreciation at her love for my son and grandson. I couldn't have loved her more if I had given birth to her. I cried to watch her in pain and prayed that she would have the strength to get through it.... she is amazing! Thank you Tiffany for all that you did for the beautiful boy... thank you Garrett for giving us this new little man. Seeing Garrett hold his own son made me cry like a baby... and seeing Thayne hold his new grandson took me back years to the moment he held his first son for the first time! This is the greatest day! Welcome to the world Gabe!!

Baby Day....

By the time we got over to Salt Lake they told Tiffany they weren't keeping her. Even though the pains were 3 minutes apart, she wasn't progressing so she went to her brother's house and we stayed in a hotel.... should have tried to sleep earlier but I was too wound up and couldn't go to sleep. After a whopping 3 hours of sleep the phone rang and Garrett said they were headed out. We jumped up and got ready and here were are.... waiting! She is at a 5 now and contracting every 2 minutes. She just got up to get in the hot tub to try and relax a little bit.... she's a trooper. We are so excited!

Engagement pictures....

Caitlyn's identical twin sister Chelsey took these engagement pictures for them today... they turend out SO great! I love them all, and am not sure how they will choose favorites to make the invitations. I can't believe that they will be getting married this year. I am so happy to be welcoming Caitlyn into our family.... she feels like family already. I have laughed at Thayne because he was so determined to not let himself love her before he knew for sure that she would be our daughter one day... and then one day he decided he already loved her like our daughter and was worried that Jace would never propose! So it was with great joy to him when Jace informed us that he was buying a ring! He said it wouldn't matter, he had 7 other sons she could choose from.... but you can tell by the way she looks at Jace that he is her one and only choice! How lucky are we to get such wonderful daughters in law!!! She has been a blessing in our life since we first met her... and we feel so blessed to know that she will be joining our family... our daughter forever! They will be getting married June 12th, and then after she has been a member a year, they will be able to get sealed in the temple! We have such wonderful things to look forward to this year!

For some reason... this is Jace's favorite... but then anyone that really knows Jace would know that this is his favorite picture. He told me if he had any say in the wedding at all this picture would play a prominent role at the reception!!! :)

I am frantically throwing stuff together to get out the door.... Thayne has been underground all day and out of phone reach which has made me crazy.... Buffy is picking me up and we are heading out to Salt Lake right now and Thayne will follow behind as fast as he can get home from the mine.... we may be meeting baby Gabe tonight and I can barely wait!!! The kids are freaking out they are so excited.... everybody wants this baby boy born NOW!!! They are almost to the hospital and she is having pains every 5 to 7 minutes! A new baby boy....oh this is amazing!!!!

Nate was so cute tonight sitting on the floor by his daddy... they were watching tv and Nate leans over and pats Thayne's belly and says, "BABY!".... and then tries to put his ear on his belly to listen to the baby! Everytime Tiffany is around he is patting her belly and they tell him that baby Gabe is in there. He tries to listen and talk to Gabe like Garrett does so I guess he figured his dad could produce the same kind of wonderful as Tiffany is!!! I was laughing so hard I couldn't tell Nate there was no baby in his dad's belly... but Thayne kept trying to tell him!!!!!!

Bronchitis...

It's such a great time of year (said with much sarcasm) because you know somebody is going to be sick. Or in this case, more than one somebody! Everyone seemed to have a cough and cold but it passed quickly. Except for Nater's.... his of course went right into bronchitis. So we managed to get him in and get him on medication right after Christmas. He's been taking breathing treatments and antibiotics for a week now. Kami also got sick.... and we figured she had the same thing. She does! Bronchitis.... both lungs. And I have the same crud. My chest hurts, burns even!!! So we are all on medication now and hopefully everyone will be better very soon!! It makes me worried to know that Nate got gunk in his lungs again so soon after the last one, but he is a trooper... takes his breathing treatments really well and is on the mend!
