Father/Son Camp Out with picture overload!

The little boys had been excited abou the father/son camp out for days and days. Thayne wasn't so much, because his back always ends up hurting from sleeping on the ground with the boys... but he's a great dad and what makes the boys happy, makes him happy. Garrett wanted to go with them too! They had the best time. Our friend Tracy was in charge of it and he asked if we would help make the pulled pork that they were having for the dinner out there. It was a good thing we made as much as we did because they ended up having 150 father/sons show up and there wasn't much of anything left! The little boys absolutely loved the activity... it's every little boys dream. Really... dirt, water, animals, tire swings, more water, dirt, mice, snakes...like I said, a little boys dream come true! They did some work, clearing trails, working on the stairs, cleaning things up really well and they had a blast! They moved a log and a mama mouse ran out from under it with the baby mice still attached. Thayne was telling me that the mama mouse ran off with the babies still attached to her nipples. Later I heard Hyrum telling the girls about it and he said that the mom ran off with the babies still stuck to her pimples! I started laughing so hard because he was SO serious about it! The girls were trying not to laugh at him and I really didn't want to explain the difference between nipples and pimples! It would seem that they decided that they were too lazy to put the tents up so they slept ON the tent instead of inside it! It started sprinkling in the night and Thayne said he looked up and saw nothing but dark clouds and was worried they were going to get rained out, but they just got sprinkled on and about froze! This has been an insanely cold August already and nights get down to close to freezing so it wasn't a very comfortable... but oh they loved the whole experience!

Hyrum called this the best bathroom leaf ever.... um, ICK but still he was laughing and thinking it was funny! Luckily they didn't have to use it, but it's good to know it was available!

Hayden got a soaking... he was teasing Jeff and taking his hat and Jeff showed him who was boss... Thayne said Jeff had a run for his money because the boys are whiley little devils, but still, in the end, the boys got dunked!!!
