Yesterday was the annual Father/Son camp out that our church puts on and Thayne and 6 of his 9 sons had plans to go. Kimi had taken Kami and Kalli with her for the weekend and I was left with 3 of my big girls and the question of what to do. Well... I lie! ;) There was no question about what to do... we knew we were in for a rocking girls night out. We had been waiting for The Time Traveler's Wife to come out for what seemed like forever, and though Thayne is always willing to go with me to chick flicks... we planned this one for just that... The CHICKS! Buffy and Checotah were going to be home alone too since her husband was in charge of the camp out. We also talked Katie into going because well... Katie is as much part of our family as our actual family is! And the girls' friend Celeste was coming with us too... and Tiffany, because since Garrett was one of the 6 sons going with his dad, it is only obvious that Tiffany was one of the daughters going out with me!
Girl's Night Out usually/always consist of really good, really loud music usually from the 80's with select songs from the more modern music. Ask the girls... 80s music is by far the very best! There is dancing, singing loudly and usually off key, laughing until your sides are going to split, dancing... sometimes in parking lots, once in a while on the hood of the Excursion (please don't tell their dad... I was against it if he asks! haha)... Kailee and Kassi occasionally stick their heads out the window and make eye contact with the people in the vehicle next to us.... Kailee is too afraid to flirt... this is a fact she will deny, but it's truth all the same! There's usually food involved, and since we were going to the movie that meant popcorn and hot tamalies! It was just a whole lot of fun and some great memories made with beautiful daughters that can always make me smile! It is great to be the mom of teenage daughters. They are amazing. They are gifts to me and I am so grateful to be their mom. They prove that you can be friends, while you are still mothering them, that you can have good clean fun, laugh till it hurts and find joy in nothing more than just sharing time together! Great memories girls... you are ALL amazing and I am very blessed to have all of you in my life!

Nate did end up with us at the end of the night at KFC... Kimi watched him while we were out since she was already committed to babysitting for some friends. He loves to dance though so he was very content to hang out with the girls!

Dad just saw the pictures and said "Somebody is going to be in trouble... " and then he laughed. Sadly, these girls have their dad wrapped around their little fingers!

Jace was not invited to the girls night... but Caitlyn's family was going so he went with them. I love that as soon as Caitlyn sees the camera she is ready to pose. Thankfully all my girls are willing to cheese to feed my obsession of taking pictures of them! :)

Kassi is trying to convince me that she only has 3 weeks until she can get her learner's permit!
