I saw this somewhere today and thought it was really ironic considering my thoughts on the 'share the wealth' mentality going around these days. Take it for what it is worth, there are a lot of people that seem to feel this way!
As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama officially becomes president-elect, businesses should install a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:
1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are under-achieving a "fair shake".
2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst you. This will help those who are "too busy for overtime" to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.
3. All top management will now be referred to as "the government." We will not participate in this "pooling" experience because the law doesn't apply to us.
4. The "government" will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard "for the good of all".
5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's "good to spread the wealth around". Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more "patriotic".
6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?)!!!
A wise man once said, "In all living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." We have weathered storms that tried to break us, but through it all, we have always tried to find the joy in our journey. Watching our family grow has given us more joy than we ever thought possible. There is joy in the journey, even in the middle of the storms!

Last night I was reading a women's magazine and there's a page on McCain's and Obama's stand on women's rights.
Issue: Access to contraception
McCain: Has twice voted against requiring insurers to cover prescription birth control. Refused to address why Viagra may sometimes be covered while birth control may not.
Obama: Promises to require birth-control coverage by insurance companies and to ensure rape victims are educated about access to emergency contraception.
Issue: Reproductive Rights
McCain: Is prolife and believes Roe v. Wade must be overturned so that individual states can decide whether or not to outlaw abortion.
Obama: If elected, will continue to support a woman's right to choose and has said that he would work to uphold Roe v. Wade.
Issue: Pay Equity
McCain: Last April, he did not support the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which would have extended the period of time a person has to sue an employer for papy discrimination.
Obama: Voted for the Ledbetter bill, which didn't pass. Vows to establish a minimum of seven paid sick days per year for full-time employees-a measure aimed specifically at single mothers.
Issue: Title IX
McCain: Finds flaws with the law ensuring proprtional funding for men's and women's public-school sports but notes its "indisputable" benefits.
Obama: Said he'll do more to urge compliance with Title IX after what he called ineffective enforcement under the Bush administration.
Issue: Domestic Violence
McCain: Doesn't address it in his platform but introduced a 2005 amendment to the Violence Against Women Act to help protect Native American women from domestic violence on reservations, where it's unusually common.
Obama: Pledges to appoint a special adviser who will reort to him on related issues. Has said he would pass legislation providing job security to victims of demestic violence and sexual assault.
Seeing how this magazine is all about women's rights and is all for birth control and premarital sex and yadayadayada, which direction do you suppose they're supporting? It just made me angry reading this. People are idiots if they follow Obama. What is that analogy about sheep being led to the slaughter?
