Finally... pictures for Tallin's birthday!

We had to put off Tallin's cheesecake because of timing and planning.... but it had to be done, because you don't turn 18 and NOT have cheesecake (right Tallin?).... Tuesday we were in Utah for Jace's appointment. Wednesday we took Tallin out to dinner and then went and got him a new phone for his birthday. He is so funny. The guy was working hard to convince us to get him this new, fancy phone that basically does anything and everything! Sheesh... remember when walkmen's were the latest and greatest thing... you know the ones, where you had to flip the cassette tape over and ff it to get to the song you wanted and turn it back over. If you were lucky there might be 5 songs on one side and 6 on the other and oh the batteries we went through. But no... Tallin is now the proud owner of a phone that can hold somewhere in the ball field of 20,000 songs or something, he can watch tv, put movies on it, get on the internet oh, and DRAW! Yes draw. The salesman was going on and on about all it could do and Tallin said, "OH YEAH... you can draw on this too!" The guy kind of looked at him funny and said, "Well, yes you can draw too, though that has never been a selling point before, but okay!" Oh, yes, in case you are wondering, you CAN talk on it like a regular old phone, but WHY would you want to??? But we did finally manage to pull it together and sing him Happy Birthday and have his cheesecake he requested! I can't believe he is 18! He's already talking about how quickly the next few months will go by and how soon he can put in his papers for his mission! We are so proud of you Tallin... so grateful to have you as our son! What a great man you are becoming! What a great example you are to all of us! Keep up the good work, you are amazing!

Nate is always in the middle of the action and as you can see by the look on Tallin's face, everyone thinks everything Nate does is adorable. Even when he stands over the cheesecake and dips his spoon in it to help himself! Thayne scooping off the pieces of wax that melted onto the cheesecake while we were singing!

Tallin... and his new phone! He is so paranoid of getting it scratched up before he goes to get the cover that he kept the protective plastic on it! :)

He blew them all out in one shot... wonder what his wish was???? I mean really... he already got the dang phone!
