Update on Infection...
We are waiting for more word on the infection. Jace has to go back Monday BEFORE he showers to get a culture of the sores because the one they took Wednesday was after his shower and the dried out sore, so we may or may not get any information on the exact type of infection... but the thought is that it is MRSA. Just hearing that conjures up scary thoughts and horror stories. They tell us he is on the right antibiotic assuming it is staff and I feel confident that it was caught pretty early. It's just scary stuff to be messing with. We are taking all precautions, from using Safe Guard and antibacterial cleaning to anything he even breathes on it feels like! We should have the results to take back to the doctor in Utah on Thursday but they said that we are taking the proper course of action and hopefully we will know more. I know it has taken so much out of him that it scares me. It's taking a lot to fight this off and we are just continuing to pray that he heals quickly and completely!

Oh my dear. You remember my Moms bouts with MRSA so I wont scare you but I want to impress on you how important it is to be overly cautious with being sanitary and making sure all the kids understand how contagious it is. It sounds like you are doing good but you can NOT be too overly cautious. Let people call you a crazy paranoid person but it will save lots if you are a paranoid. Use gloves to touch anything even doing laundry. Do his laundry seperately from anything else. Try to think of anything he touches, setting on the couch, the milk carton etc. You get the pic. I will pray for you guys. Do not let the Dr's off on this one. FORCE them to stay on it and keep a close watch on it. Good luck. You will do great!
Oh no, praying his leg heals soon and the infection takes a hike. How very scary.
